On Thursday, March 28, Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain, was presented with the special jersey in the team huddle on his 100th appearance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 26-year-old, who made his return to professional cricket after a 15-long absence, is currently playing against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rishabh Pant called the toss right for Delhi Capitals, deciding to send Rajasthan Royals to bat first on a pitch, which is expected to get better and better for batting. During the toss time, he announced that DC had made a couple of forced changes to their playing XI due to injury, replacing Ishant Sharma and Shai Hope with Mukesh Kumar and Anrich Nortje.

In his first match for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024, Rishabh Pant looked quite impressive with the bat during his short stay against Punjab Kings. He scored 18 off 13 with a couple of fours before Harshal Patel had him caught at the point region where Jonny Bairstow was stationed.

Later on, Rishabh Pant kept exceptionally well for DC, registering a couple of stumpings, although PBKS were the ultimate winners by four wickets.

Moreover, in his 99 IPL matches, Rishabh Pant has scored 2,856 runs at an average and a strike rate of 34.41 and 147.90 respectively. He also has one hundred and 15 fifties to his name during his IPL career.
