Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant, who made a return to competitive cricket earlier this year in the IPL 2024, will next be seen in action in the upcoming Duleep Trophy. The Duleep Trophy, which serves as the opening tournament to India’s domestic calendar, will kick start from September 5 and feature the centrally contracted players after the Jay Shah mandated their participation.
As the tournament comes closer, the Indian keeper-batter was seen hitting the nets. The 26-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of his practice session ahead of the red-ball tournament and captioned it, “I try not to have expectations because they can tend to tear you apart. I try to work as hard as I possibly can and give every ounce of a hundred percent & keep learning from it.”

The 26-year-old in the shared video can be seen enhancing his skill set during an intense training session. The left-handed batter last featured in a Test match in 2022, but is eyeing his return in the Indian setup with India set to host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series this month.
Speaking of Team India, the Men in Blue will return to action after a month-long break as they host Bangladesh in a Test and T20I series. While the series will commence with two Tests, starting September 19 and September 27 respectively, followed by three-match T20I series from October 6.
Shubman Gill clean hits in whites ahead of Duleep Trophy at IS Bindra Stadium
Team India opener, Shubman Gill was also seen taking the field in a practice session at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali. The 24-year-old, who was seen wearing the whites, smacked the delivery with a lofted shot as he looked confident of his batting.

Gill will be seen leading Team A in the first rounds of Duleep Trophy tournament. He will be joined by the likes of KL Rahul, Riyan Parag, Mayank Agarwal, Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube in the side for the opening match, which commences from September 5.
