Rishabh Pant is someone who is always in the game, be it his chirping behind the stumps while keeping the wickets for his team or his unorthodox style of batting that has reaped him fair amount of fruits so far. On Wednesday night, his team Delhi Capitals eased past SunRisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in pursuit of 135 runs to go on top of the points table. However, in one of the hilarious moments in the game, Pant lost his bat while trying to swing hard in order to take on SRH spinner Rashid Khan.
After managing just a single boundary during his run-a-ball 7, Pant decided to hit Rashid for a boundary to make the case of Delhi Capitals strong in the game. However, extra effort on the shot with lack of timing saw Pant completely missing the ball and throwing the bat away on leg side, from where opponent skipper Kane Williamson had to fetch the bat and return it to Pant.

After getting an invitation to bowl first in the game against SRH at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, DC wreaked havoc and limited Kane Williamson and company to an under-par score of 134/9. Kagiso Rabada was the standout bowler from the DC camp with figures of 3/37, while Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje also chipped in with useful contributions of 2 wicket apiece.
