With the IPL 2024 fast approaching, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant is all set to return to competitive cricket. The 26-year-old cricketer, who survived a horrific accident in 2022, will be seen leading the side after he missed the 2023 edition and was seen on the sidelines in a few matches of IPL.
However, with the tournament over two weeks away from start, Pant has resumed his practice. In a video going viral on social media, Pant can be seen practicing in Bengaluru. He was also seen smashing his trademark one-handed six in the practice game as he awaits NCA clearance.

Rishabh Pant to receive NCA clearance on March 5
The Roorkee-born wicketkeeper-batter will take the field when Delhi Capitals take on Punjab King in their tournament opener at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali on March 23. While fans eagerly await his return, former India captain and Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket, Sourav Ganguly revealed a big update about Pant.
Ganguly in his interaction revealed that Pant will get the clearance by NCA on Tuesday, March 5 and will thereafter join the DC for IPL 2024. “Let Rishabh Pant get cleared on March 5, only then we’ll talk about captaincy backups. We are taking cautious approach with him because he has a very long career ahead of him. He will be joining the camp once NCA gives clearance,” Ganguly told Times of India.
