In the advertisement, Pant recreated Gavaskar’s ‘stupid, stupid, stupid remark that the former cricketer made during his commentary stint in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under. . Gavaskar made that comment when Pant got out after playing an unnecessary shot during thee boxing day Test in Melbourne.
Sunil Gavaskar’s comments went viral showing his passion and love for the Indian cricket team. However, in the latest advertisement, the roles were reversed where Pant was seen shouting at Gavaskar over booking the hotel rooms. “Stupid, stupid, stupid. That is throwing away yout trip. This is not your hotel game,” Pant said in the ad leaving everyone in shock including Gavaskar himself. However, at the end of the advertisement, both Pant and Gavaskar shared a warm hug.

Doing commentary for Star Sports, Sunil Gavaskar lost his cool at Rishabh Pant for throwing away his wicket by playing a loose shot while India were in a tricky position during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
