With a few days ahead of the start of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag showed blistering form in the practice session. During RR’s practice game on March 19, Parag smashed a fiery hundred hitting 144* runs off just 64 balls. The right-hander also smashed 16 fours and 10 sixes during his knock. Parag finished as RR”s leading run scorer in IPL 2024 and is also looking in great touch ahead of the IPL 2025.
After smashing a fiery hundred, Riyan Parag received an applause from his teammates while he was going back to the pavilion. In a video, posted by Rajasthan Royals on their social media, players like skipper Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel could be seen teasing Parag as he was heading towards the dugout. Samson said “ Well done Matcha” while Jaiswal and Jurel kept saying “What a Riyan, yaar” several times.

Riyan Parag aims for another memorable season in IPL 2025
After struggling to get runs from the last few years, Riyan Parag finally got his breakthrough season in IPL 2024 for Rajasthan Royals. The right-hander came as an improved batter and has his best IPL season. Parag finished as the third highest run getter in IPL 2024 amassing 573 runs from 16 matches, at an average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 149.21.
Parag’s great IPL season also helped him to get his maiden India call last year and he went on to make his debut for the Indian team in T20Is and ODIs. Now, Parag will be looking to have another great season in IPL 2025 and has already shown a trailer by smashing 144* runs in the practice session. RR will begin their IPL 2025 campaign with a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on March 23.
