Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, has led the team to the semi-final of the ODI World Cup 2023 after securing seven wins on the spin. When he prepared to travel to Kolkata from Mumbai airport for the upcoming match against South Africa at the Eden Gardens, a fan asked him a pertinent question about the flagship tournament, to which he gave an amusing response.

At the top of the order, the attacking intent from Rohit Sharma, especially in the first powerplay stage, has translated into big totals for India on a regular basis in the ODI World Cup 2023. In his seven innings during the quadrennial spectacle, the 36-year-old has scored 402 runs at an average of 57.42 and a strike-rate of 119.64, which includes a century and two half centuries.

Apart from his batting exploits, the captaincy of Rohit Sharma has been in the focus for all the right reasons too. He has been able to galvanise the Indian cricket team in the field, making smart bowling changes, and keeping the opposition batting lineups on their toes at all times.

Talking about the recent fan interaction, it happened when Rohit Sharma was making his way into the Mumbai airport for a flight to Kolkata. The fan in the background had a question, which has literally been on every Indian’s mind, "World Cup apna hai na? (Is the World Cup ours?)," to which the Indian captain had a witty answer, “Abhi time hai (There is still time). ”
