Ahead of the first match of the T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up match against Bangladesh, Team India were involved in an intense practice session in New York. In this training session, Rohit Sharma was spotted guiding all-rounder Shivam Dube as he bowled to the Indian captain in the nets.
The Men in Blue are among the favourites to win the T20 World Cup and possibly end their 11-year ICC trophy drought. Team India will play their only warm-up match against Bangladesh at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York before kicking off their campaign against Ireland at the same venue on June 5.

Before the start of their campaign, India had an intense practice session which saw vice-captain Hardik Pandya have long sessions with bat and ball. Then Indian captain Rohit Sharma also took the nets and faced the likes of Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube. While facing the all-rounder, Rohit was spotted guiding Dube, who just bowled one over in the recently concluded IPL 2024.
Rishabh Pant performs wicketkeeping drill during practice
Further in the practice session, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant was spotted performing wicket-keeping drills while reserve players Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh also had a hit in the nets. Whereas tail-enders Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh were seen focusing on their batting skills while all-rounders Jadeja, Shivam Dube and Axar Patel trained with both bat and ball.
