The Rohit Sharma -led Indian team were seen singing the patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ by AR Rahman as they were feli citated in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium for their historic T20 World Cup 2024 victory. After winning the final in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29, the Men in Blue were stranded in the Caribbean due to a category 4 hurricane and landed in India on July 4.
Since Team India arrived home, celebrations have been taken to the next level with a grand victory parade which culminated in Wankhede Stadium with a grand ceremony. After a few emotional speeches, the Men in Blue took a victory lap, thanking the fans for their unwavering support.

In a viral video from this victory lap; Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah and the rest of the team members were seen passionately singing ‘Vande Mataram’ bringing the crowd to their feet. The video has brought out countless emotions to Indians and registered over two million views so far on the social media platform X.

It was phenomenal: Virat Kohli on Jasprit Bumrah's performance in Final
At this event, Indian batting great Virat Kohli had some praiseful words for fast bowling extraordinaire Jasprit Bumrah. Speaking at the ceremony, Kohli said, "Like everyone in the stadium [here], we also felt at one point if it is going to slip away again, but what happened in those [last] five overs was truly, truly special."
"You know what I'd like everyone to do is applaud a guy who brought us back into games again and again and again in this tournament. What he did in those last five overs, bowling two out of the last five overs, it was phenomenal. A huge round of applause for Jasprit Bumrah, please," he added.
