Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar made a special appearance at the National Football League (NFL) in America during a match between Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions at AT&T Stadium in Texas. During his visit, the former cricketer was also honored with a special number 10 jersey by Dallas Cowboy. The gesture was shown to highlight the growth of cricket in the United States, with Sachin Tendulkar playing a key role through his involvement in the National Cricket League. Tendulkar has recently joined the ownership group of America’s National Cricket league (NCL).
The former Indian cricketer recently joined NCL to introduce cricket to new American audiences. Along with Sachin, players like Sunil Gavaskar, Wasim Akram, Dilip Vengsarkar, Sir Vivian Richards, Venkatesh Prasad and Sanath Jayasuriya are also a part of NCL in coaching and mentorship roles. Apart from that, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, Dinesh Karthik, Shahid Afridi, Shakib Al Hasan, Mohammad Nabi, Chris Lynn, Tabraiz Shamsi, Colin Munro and Angelo Mathews will be seen competing as overseas players in the NCL.

Sachin Tendulkar expressed his gratitude after being honored during the NFL game. The former cricketer said that it has been a great experience to teach and train the young athletes in Dallas and expressed his desire to develop a sense of dedication, passion and belief among them. After attending an NFL match, Sachin also showed how both cricket and football can grow together at the global level.
“Cricket has given me so much, and being here in Dallas—both teaching these young athletes and receiving this incredible recognition—has been truly humbling. Inspiring these kids and sharing my journey with them has been incredibly fulfilling. I want them to know that with dedication, passion, and belief, they can achieve anything—whether on the cricket field or in life,” Sachin Tendulkar was quoted as saying by OneCricket.
