Sai Sudharsan was one of the consistent players of the IPL 2023 as he made the headlines with his 96-run knock in the finals against CSK. Although on a losing cause, Sudharsan impressed everyone with his hitting prowess and timing as he smashed the best death bowler in the league, Maheesh Pathirana, all over the place. He has carried his form to the TNPL as he hit a 45-ball-86 in the first match of TNPL 2023 against Karaikudi Karaikal.
Batting at the No.3 position for Lyca Kovai Kings, Sudharsan hit four sixes and eight fours on his way to 86 off 45 balls to take his team to 179 for 7. He formed an important partnership with U Mukilesh after they lost three wickets within the first three overs. Sudharsan was eventually runout on the last ball of the innings.
Lyca's captain Shahrukh Khan led the bowling department from the front as he ended with 3/20 and Mohammad picked up two wickets to bundle out Karaikal for just 109 to get the win by a whopping margin of 70 runs.
