The UFC 288 bout that declared the reigning UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling winner over former division titleholder Henry Cejudo on May 6, Saturday witnessed Sean O’Malley storming the ring. As Sterling was declared the winner at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and Team Cejudo exited the octagon, the No. 2 bantamweight title contender Sean O’Malley stormed into the cage, leading to a heating exchange.
Aljamain Sterling, the ‘Funk Master’ took down Henry Cejudo in a thrilling five-round bout and defended his UFC bantamweight champion title for the third time with a split-decision win. A video shows Sean O’ Malley ‘Suga’ wearing a garish red and black jacket walking up the steps and making his way over to his potential next opponent and the two exchanged a few fuming words. Suga said, “You better hope you look better than tonight. You better hope you look better than that! You better be ready to cut weight, baby. You'd better look better than that, b****. You better look better than that.”
The Funk Master, to this, replied, “You've had a whole year to work on your jiu-jitsu. Now Daddy Dana (White, UFC chief) ain't gonna babysit that a** no more.”
