Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi is currently participating in the Global T20 Canada 2023, where he is a part of the Toronto Nationals. The Pakistan veteran rolled back some years and sent his fans on a nostalgia trip with his 23 off 12 during the game against Vancouver Knights. Afridi enjoyed a huge fan following till his tenure in green jersey and the 46-year-old continues to do so, and the massive crowd waiting to get selfies and autographs is a testament of it. However, it isn’t something that caught everyone’s attention but the former Pak all-rounder’s gesture towards Indian fans that won the internet.
Afridi, who is fondly called ‘Lala’, took out time to meet his fans after the game at Global T20. Not only this, but Afridi made way through a huge crowd to meet special fans from India. He enjoys a massive fan following in the Indian subcontinent, and his move to ensure that he gives autographs and gets pictures clicked with them has gone viral on the social media.
