Shai Gilgeous-Alexander emerged as his side’s shining star with 35 points as Oklahoma City Thunder took down Golden State Warriors 105-101 on Wednesday. Not only this, but the game at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, also saw Jalen Williams exiting the court in the later part of the first half. Moreover, the Warriors were without their star Steph Curry who missed the game due to pain in both his knees.

During the game, Gilgeous-Alexander followed up his 37-point performance during the 130-109 win against Sacramento Kings by shooting 13 for 28 in the third straight win by Oklahoma City (14-4). During the game, Jonathan Kuminga returned to courts after a two-game absence and scored a team high of 19 points for the Warriors who were without their star Stephen Curry. The Warriors have been on a roll and dropped to 3-1 without Curry.

Steph not being there definitely influences things for us: Steve Kerr after third straight loss

After the Golden State Warriors lost their third straight game in the row, coach Steve Kerr revealed how Steph Curry’s absence has been impacting them. Curry was ruled out before the game against the OKC Thunder due to knee issues. Kerr went into the game with a smaller lineup in the beginning, starring Brandin Podziemski, Lindy Waters III, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green.

However, after the loss, Kerr opened up about the change and said how Curry’s absence has been affecting them. He said, “Steph not being there definitely influences things for us. Pairing Trayce [Jackson-Davis] and Draymond without Steph, without a pick and roll player, makes it really tricky offensively. So that’s why I did it.” Notably, Curry is expected to be back in action during the game against the Brooklyn Nets.
