Ajinkya Rahane had luck on his side for most of the match when he walked out to bat. The KKR opener survived thrice in three deliveries of the first over. But his struggle in the middle was brought to end by Khaleel Ahmed as the leftie dismissed him for 8 runs. Although Khaleel will have his name against Rahane's wicket, it belonged more to Sharduk Thakur.

The all-rounder took a brilliant catch running backwards to send back 'lucky' Rahane. On the fourth ball of the fifth over, Khaleel Ahmed bowled a back of a length delivery into the pitch. Rahane tried to muscle it and played across the line of the delivery and failed to time it well. Resultantly, the ball went up high in the air, towards the long-on region.

Thakur who was fielding at mid-on started running immediately after the ball left Rahane's bat. He kept his eyes on the ball while running backwards. In the end, he pouched it quite comfortably and held on to it even after hitting the ground.

Delhi get back on track!

After losing two games on the trot, Delhi Capitals received a lot of flak and criticism. But the Rishabh Pant-led side settled the debate with a neat performance against KKR. After being put in to bat first, they posted a mammoth 215/5 on the board. Then they bowled out KKR for 171 to walk away with a 44-run victory.

There were multiple good performances from the DC camp. While Warner, Shaw, Pant, Axar Patel, and Shardul Thakur excelled in batting; Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav sealed the game for their team with bowling heroics. The duo shared seven wickets among them. Khaleel Ahmed dismissed both the openers to keep KKR at bay right from the start. Kuldeep Yadav then removed the middle and lower order batters.
