Ko lkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer brought out a special coin-flipping technique which helped him win the toss and then the game against the Lucknow Super Giants. KKR registered a comfortable eight-wicket win over LSG on the back of a 3-28 from Mitchell Starc and Phil Salt's blistering 89 in 47 balls.
But before the match, as KL Rahul and Iyer came out for the toss, the KKR skipper was kissing the coin before flipping it in the air. Shreyas Iyer had exhibited a similar gesture in Kolkata's previous game against Chennai Super Kings. On both those occasions, the coin fell in KKR's favour.

Pretty much comprehensive victory: Shreyas Iyer
Talking about this victory, Shreyas Iyer praised his team's incredible efforts in the first innings and stressed the importance of bowling slower ones. In the post-match interview, Iyer said, "Pretty much comprehensive victory. Fielded well and bowled well. Was important to bowl slower ones as much as possible because of the heat and the wicket becoming dry. We executed phenomenally well. When we got wickets, it gave us the advantage to come in and put an attacking effort."
"Character and attitude bowlers showed was exceptional. Will keep reiterating that it's a funny tournament and have to stay in the present as much as possible. Have to seize the moment and not leave it on someone else," he continued.
