Indian opener Shubman Gill is soaring to new heights in international cricket as well as the Indian Premier League and the 23-year-old batter has recently stepped into the Spider-Verse. The Gujarat Titans batter is set to be the voice of the Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar in the movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
Sony Pictures India took to its official Twitter handle and posted a video, where Shubman Gill has been announced as the official voice of the Indian Spider-Man. The Indian version of the Spider-Man is Mumbatan based, which appeared to be inspired by India's financial capital, Mumbai.
The media company tweeted, " Shub-Man is now Spider-Man! 🕸️🏏 Thrilled to have the talented @ShubmanGill as the voice of our very own - Indian Spider-Man, Pavitr Prabhakar in Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse. Trailer dropping soon! Get ready for some web-slinging action! 🕷️🇮🇳 "

The American filmmaking duo, Philip Lord and Christopher Miller confirmed in December last year that the Indian Spider-Man will be more than a cameo and revealed the India-inspired name and costume, and backdrop for the animated movie.
Hollywood's Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker while the Indian Spider-Man will be called Pavitr Prabhakar. The trailer is set to be released soon with no confirmation of its official release has been made yet.
