The Legends League Cricket 2023 Eliminator between the India Capitals and the Gujarat Giants raised the eyebrows of many as the former Indian teammates, Gautam Gambhir and S. Sreesanth were involved in a heated altercation on the field. The Gujarat Giants bowler revealed what exactly happened between them and confirmed that the India Capitals skipper called him a "Fixer."
On May 16, 2013, three Rajasthan Royals players including S Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan, and Ajit Chandila were involved in a spot-fixing in the IPL 2013. Later in September, Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan were banned for life by the BCCI's disciplinary committee, and all three of them were also arrested. However, Sreesanth was acquitted in the spot-fixing case in July 2015.
During the India Capitals' 12-run win over the Gujarat Giants, Gambhir and Sreesanth were involved in an on-field verbal altercation. After the match, the former Indian bowler recorded a video lashing out at Gambhir for using "unacceptable words" on the cricket field. In the video, Sreesanth also talked about Gambhir's treatment of Virat Kohli during commentary.

Sreesanth also stated that he hadn't abused Gambhir and kept smiling during the incident as he said, "I haven't used a single bad word, abusive word at him. I have only said what are you saying and instead, I kept on laughing." Gautam Gambhir, who is also the Member of Parliament from East Delhi constituency, hasn't responded to the allegations yet and a statement from the India Capitals skipper is awaited.
