The defending champions, Golden State Warriors kick started their NBA 2022-23 regular season campaign on a winning note as Steph Curry dropped 33 points to help Warriors beat the Lakers 123-109 at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Monday morning.
Warriors dominated Lakers in starting three quarters, which was sufficient to register a victory against the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers. After leading the first half by seven points, Warriors dominated Lakers in the third quarter by 13 points to take a 20-point lead with last quarter remaining.
Last season's Finals MVP Stephen Curry played 33 minutes in his side's opening victory and made seven assists, six rebounds and four steals as he dropped 33 points with the help of four three-pointers.

Apart from Curry, small forward Andrew Wiggins dropped 20 points, six rebounds and four assists while shooting guard Klay Thompson registered 18 points, two rebounds and three assists in Warriors' season opening victory.
On the other hand, LeBron James led the scoring for the Lakers as he dropped 31 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists while Anthony Davis scored 27 points, making six rebounds and four steals, and Russell Westbrook registered 19 points and 11 rebounds.
