Stephen Curry has cemented his name as the greatest shooter in the history of the National Basketball Association. He has been playing on close to an MVP level in the 2021-22 season with stats like 25.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 42.8% from the field and 37.8% from deep.

Curry has been the focal point of another great Golden State Warriors team that wasn’t considered as a contender at the start of the season. In their recent game, Steph had another great performance as he put up 27 points, four rebounds and ten assists. But his most incredible moment in the game was his falling three-pointer on the fast breaker over Reggie Bullock in the opening minutes of the game.

After this three-pointer, Curry looked in a great touch as he continued to score at a consistent pace. Similarly, other Dubs also took control as they dominated the Mavericks in the first three-quarters of the game. One-time all-star Andrew Wiggins scored 18 points while Gary Payton II also added 13 points in 27 minutes. The Warriors also had a decent game as they combined to score 30 points.

Mavs make a massive comeback

But in the fourth quarter, Dallas Mavericks turned into a different team as they managed to make a massive comeback. The quarter started at 74-88 when GSW forward Otto Porter Jr. hit a three and extended their lead to 17 points. Two minutes later Damion Lee made another jumper to make it a 19 point lead. But then Mavericks started hitting their shots and in the space of 6:23 minutes erased the Warriors’ lead and went on to win the game 107-101.

Luka Doncic’s magical performance

Going head to head against Steph Curry is never easy, but today Mavs Guard Lula Doncic torched Golden State as he scored a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 10-21 from the field and 3-9 from beyond the arc. Both Luka Doncic and Steph Curry were teammates in the All-star game where they played and won for team LeBron.
