Tazmin Brits pulled off a brilliant one-handed to dismiss  Alice Capsey in the second semi-final of the Women's T20 World Cup 2023  between England and South Africa. After an incredible batting performance, the Proteas were under the pump after the English openers posted 53 in just five overs. 

Shabnim Ismail stepped up and dismissed an in-form  Sophia Dunkley at 28. Then on the third ball of her over, Ismail managed to produce another breakthrough as  Tazmin Brits held on to a stunning catch to get  Alice Capsey out. The right-handed batter mistimed her pull shot which looped towards mid-wicket. Here, Brits ran to her right, timed her dive to perfection and plucked out the catch just inches off the ground.

With this catch,  Tazmin Brits  and South Africa managed to pull off a historic upset and reach the final of a T20 World Cup for the first time.  Ayabonga Khaka and  Shabnim Ismail top-performed with the ball as they combined to pick seven wickets and defeat England. 

Brits won the Player of the match award for incredible performance which included a brilliant half-century and four catches in the second innings. Reacting to this feat, she expressed elation and thanked the fans for their massive support.

She said, "I still can't believe it (taking four catches). I actually said I'm on a fifer for catches. I am very happy with that. You can get it from the crowd what this (making it to the final for the first time) means to our country. Finals, here we come."
