Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson took a shot at Seth Rollins alongside the Grizzlies star Ja Morant at the WWE SmackDown in Memphis on Friday, March 15. The Rock performed at an in-house concert in order to take a dig at Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, with whom he’s having an ongoing feud but Ja Morant was also caught in his verbal fire during the song.
He started off by targeting his rivals Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, taking comedic shots at them. But he also involved the Grizzlies star. “You’re simply an embarrassment, son,” he said while speaking about Seth Rollins. Furthermore, he went on to compare Rollins with the Memphis Grizzlies star adding, “Just like Ja Morant when he’s waving a gun.”
As soon as he mentioned Morant, a large photo of him appeared on the screen and the crowd started to boo and yell on the Rock. However, after a pause for a second, he added, “I love you, Ja. We love you, brother. Get well soon!”
Ja Morant was suspended for 25 matches, last year owing to waving a gun during an Instagram live. He was suspended twice for the gun waving incident last year.
A fan flashes camera to The Rock during his segment
During The Rock’s segment, a female fan apparently flashed a camera over Dwayne Johnson which resulted in the black out of the screen for a few seconds. As soon as she flared up the camera on him in between his segment, a sudden black out appeared on the screen, video of which is also going viral.
