The third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 is underway between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Amid the run-fest, one gesture from PBKS skipper Mayank Agarwal won the hearts of fans. While every batter was finding it easy to score runs at the DY Patil pitch, Raj Bawa could not impress on his debut for Punjab.
The batter registered a golden duck in his first game for the franchise. He looked heartbroken after failing to contribute and walked back to the pavilion with a dejected face. Looking at his young batter unhappy, Mayank Agarwal walked up to him when he was returning to the dressing room. He consoled the youngster by patting on his shoulders.

Punjab start IPL 2022 campaign in style
Although Rajangad Bawa failed to contribute, he would be a happy man seeing his team win. The new-look Punjab Kings started their IPL 2022 campaign in some style as they chased down a mammoth 206 with six balls to spare. Every batter from the Punjab camp chipped in with quick runs, making the chase look smooth. Dhawan and Agarwal started the assault as they aggregated 63 runs in the powerplay itself. Then they piled up further and formed a 71-run stand before Agarwal perished to Wanindu Hasaranga.
But Agarwal's wicket did not affect Punjab's batting too much as Bhanuka Rajapaksa took the aggressor's role really quickly. He also scored a 43 off 22 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes. Livingstone also chipped in with a quick 19 off 10 balls while Dhawan scored 43 off 29 balls. Shahrukh Khan (24* off 20) and Odean Smith (25* off 8) provided the finishing touches as they stitched 52 runs for the sixth wicket in just 25 balls.
