India’s young pacer Umran Malik is known for his raw pace. While the Jammu and Kashmir pacer already holds the record for second-fastest delivery in the Indian Premier League, Malik is now doing his magic on the biggest stage. Having made his ODI debut against New Zealand last month, Malik replaced Mohammed Shami in the squad.

The pacer did not get a chance straightaway as Rohit Sharma went with Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Sen, and Deepak Chahar as his four pacers. However, with India losing the first ODI, Rohit and Rahul Dravid gave Malik a chance in the second ODI and the young pacer did not disappoint.

Malik straightaway started hitting the right length and pace as he troubled Shakib Al Hasan in his first over. The Bangladesh batter got hit thrice on the body in the same over. It was a maiden over for Malik. The pacer then came back to dismiss Najmul Shanto on the very first delivery of his second over who was trying to keep the scoring rate up.

Malik bowled beautifully as he pitched the ball up and deceived the batter with raw pace. Shanto was undone by the change in length as he pushed way too forward, leaving a big gap between his bat and pad. The ball which was bowled at 151 kmph sneaked through the gap and uprooted the off stump and sent it for a cartwheel.
