Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli finally got discharged from a private hospital at Bhiwandi in Thane district after two weeks of treatment. Notably, Kambli complained of urinary infection and muscle cramp after which he was admitted to hospital on December 21, 2024. After further medical examinations, the doctors found a clot in his brain. Now, the former cricketer seemed to be recovered as he was seen out of the hospital in the Indian jersey.
As Vinod Kambli walked out of the hospital, he was greeted by his supporters and well wishers. Dr Shailesh Thakur, director of Akruti Health City Hospital, who is also a fan of Kambli, drove the former cricketer back to his home from the hospital. “He’s fine now. I’m dropping him back home," the doctor was quoted as saying by News18.
Don’t drink alcohol: Vinod Kambli appeals to fans
After getting discharged from the hospital, Vinod Kambli wished his fans a happy new year and appealed to them to stay away from alcohol. “Enjoy the new year. Don’t drink alcohol. Enjoy life," the former was quoted as saying by News18. Kambli also said that he is completely fit now and is ready to show people in Shivaji Park that he can still play cricket. There was a video of him went viral where Kambli was seen dancing inside the hospital.
“This doctor (Thakur) made me fit and I had stated that I would come back only when I am fit. I will show people in Shivaji Park that I Vinod Kambli will not leave cricket. These guys (at the hospital) gave me good cricket practice. I ‘hit’ only fours and sixes," Kambli said.
