The Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) played five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 11. Despite a crucial knock from their skipper, the side registered their fourth straight defeat in the IPL 2024, losing the match by seven wickets.

After being invited to bat first, RCB posted 196/8 in their stipulated 20 overs, courtesy a 40-ball 61 from Faf du Plessis, 50 from Rajat Patidar and unbeaten 53 from Dinesh Karthik. Despite a good total on the board, the Mumbai Indians chased the total in 15.3 overs. While Ishan Kishan played 34-ball 69, Suryakumar Yadav starred with a 19-ball 52-run knock.

During MI’s inning at the Wankhede Stadium, the fans were seen bringing in ‘Kohli… Kohli’ chants telling him to bowl a few overs. As these “Kohli ko bowling do” chants echoed around the stadium and reached the player, the Indian batter could not control himself and dropped a priceless reaction.

The 35-year-old quickly apologized to the crowd by placing his hands on his ears in a gesture to say sorry. The video in no time has gone viral, spreading like a wildfire in a forest.
