The T20 World Cup 2024 continues to remain a horror for Virat Kohli as the Indian batting great got out at a score of nine against England in the second semi-final. After this dismissal, Kohli got emotional as he sat dejected in the dressing room. Playing at the Providence Stadium, the Men in Blue lost the toss and were asked to bat first by Jos Buttler.
After a cautious start which saw Rohit Sharma and Kohli take a few risks, the 35-year-old started the 3rd over with a dot. Then on the second delivery, Kohli produced a special shot as he flicked Reece Topley over mid-wicket with sheer class. But on the immediate next delivery, Virat Kohli lost his balance and was clean bowled.

This dismissal added another poor score in his disappointing 2024 T20 World Cup as the former India captain has only scored 75 runs in seven games. Moments later as the camera panned towards the dressing room, Virat Kohli looked extremely bleak as the Indian head coach Rahul Dravid consulted him.
We don't want to think too far ahead: Rohit Sharma
Speaking at the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma spoke about how the team is focusing on their game and not focusing on variables like the weather. Sharma said, " We would have batted first, the weather looks good, whatever had to happen, it has already happened. We wanted to put runs on the board. The pitch tends to get slower as the game goes on."
"We understand the challenge of playing a tournament like this, a lot of travel and logistics. It's a chance to play some good cricket. We don't want to think too far ahead, stay in the moment and let your game do the talking. Same team for us."
