Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli was seen in a jovial mood as joined the famous ongoing social media trend ‘Moye Moye’. India hosted Afghanistan in the final clash of the T20I series at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The 20-over action stretched to two Super Overs, where India defeated their Afghan counterparts by 10 runs. As the Wednesday night contest enthralled the audience, the DJ brought an unexpected turn in the game, that put Kohli’s fun side on display.
As the game was tied after Afghanistan reached 212, levelling India the DJ spun the famous ‘Moye Moye’. The song prompted the former India skipper to bring out a playful side, and he was spotted dancing to the beats. Seeing the batting wizard trying his hands at an ongoing social media trend sent the fans into a frenzy. Not only this, but the video has also made rounds on social media since the match.
Coming back to the game, the former India skipper displayed brilliant fielding skills in the game. Kohli caught out Najibullah Zadran in the 19th over. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant 121* run knock in 69 deliveries with the combination of 11 boundaries and eight maximums. Shivam Dube, on the other hand, was awarded Player of the Series for scoring 124 runs and scalping two wickets in three games.
During the post-match presentation, Dube said, “As an all-rounder, you always want to be the Player of the Series, and this is something new I achieved in my life and it feels really good. We scored a lot of runs on this ground and we thought we would win before the super over, but such is cricket and well done to both teams. There are many things I want to improve, especially in my bowling and I'm trying to get better with each passing game.”
