Virat Kohli, the Indian batting superstar, who was in the midst of preparing himself for the upcoming Super Fours match for India against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023, spared time to help inspire budding cricketers in a candid interaction. During the group stage of the Asia Cup 2023, Virat Kohli got the chance to bat once, against Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, where he was dismissed for four runs off seven balls. The former Indian captain managed to chop-on the innocuous delivery from Shaheen Afridi onto his stumps, while trying to steer it down the third man for a single.

And you know, just talking to him and the way he goes about (his cricket), and practices and being ready, like the mindset, that’s what he taught me.”
“Just watching him the way he gets ready and the way he runs in practice. It’s like I learnt a lot just by watching him," he added.
