India dominated Bangladesh on day four of the ongoing second Test at the Green Park in Kanpur. Resuming play on 107/3, Bangladesh were bowled out for 233 runs in the first innings in the afternoon session. After that, India went on to post 285/9 in just 34.4 overs, with almost every batter taking a charge against Bangladeshi bowlers. During the Indian innings, a terrible mix-up took place between Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, that could have led to Kohli’s run out. However, the batter survived after Khaled Ahmed failed to take off the bails when Kohli had left the crease.
On the first ball of the 19th over, Virat Kohli tried to drive the slower ball by Khaled Ahmed, but it ended up beside the pitch after an inside edge from the batter hit his front pad. Rishabh Pant, who was at the non-striker's end, left the crease immediately, followed by Kohli's delayed response. When all this happened, Khaled ran towards the striker's end to collect the ball, and was on his way run out Kohli, who was firmly out of his crease. However, the fast bowler missed the stumps and the former Indian captain survived. After that, Pant hugged Kohli and apologized for a terrible mix up.
