The Men in Blue are opening their Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Pat Cummins-led side after winning the toss, opted to bat first with David Warner and Mitchell Marh opening the inning for the side.

However, Mitchell Marsh’s stay on the crease was cut short as Virat Kohli completed a brilliant catch at slip in the third over of the inning. Jasprit Bumrah, who was called back to bowl, bowled a short of a length delivery with extra bounce outside off. Marsh cut an edge with the ball directly going into Kohli’s hand, who dived towards his left to complete the catch.
