After registering a clean sweep in two-match Test series against Bangladesh, the Indian dressing room honoured the impact fielders from the series. On Tuesday, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India registered a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh to win the series by 2-0 margin. Apart from Ravichandran Ashwin’s dominating performance in the first Test, both with the bat as well as ball, Jasprit Bumrah, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul dominated the second Test.
After the conclusion of the Test series, the Indian dressing room honoured the key wicket-takers of the series. While the second Test saw some exceptional fielding from skipper Rohit Sharma, pacer Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul also grabbed a few good catches in crunch situations.

T Dilip, the fielding coach of the Indian cricket team, nominated Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Siraj for their respective one-handed stunners in the second Test, he also picked KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal as they too starred with some good fielding efforts across the two-match series. While he first named Yashasvi Jaiswal, followed by Siraj, he gave a special mention to Rohit Sharma while naming him “as reliable as a Swiss watch”. This surprise introduction not only left everyone stunned but Rohit was also surprised on the comparison made.
However, towards the end, T Dilip went with naming Siraj and Jaiswal as the joint winners of the award. Speaking to the Indian team, T. Dilip hailed the collective intent to remain sharp on the field, especially in testing conditions like that of Kanpur.

After a dominant series win, India have consolidated their position at the top of the World Test Championships (WTC) standings with eight wins from 11 matches with a percentage of 74.24. The Men in Blue are closing on to confirm their place in the WTC Final 2025. With eight matches still left for Team India, the Rohit Sharma and Co. will be eyeing to win all three matches against New Zealand and get a couple of victories out of the five-match Test series against Australia later this year to assure themselves third consecutive WTC Final appearance.
