It looks like the young Indian batter has been successful in almost replicating Smith’s batting stance. 

Steve Smith is considered as one of the great batters in modern day cricket and also haas a huge fan following in India. His batting stance is also popular among cricketing fans across the world. Taking inspiration from star Australian batter, the Indian cricketer can be seen emulating his signature shuffle towards the crease. Apart from that, the Indian batter was also seen copying Smith’s exaggerated backlift and fidgety moments before taking the strike.

Steve Smith returns as skipper for Sri Lanka Tests, Pat Cummins opted out

Steve Smith is set to make his return as captain again as Australia have announced squad for a two-match Test series in Sri Lanka. Notably, Smith has been appointed as a skipper for Sri Lanka Tests as Pat Cummins opted out for the birth of his second child. The two-match Test series is scheduled to kick start at Galle International Stadium from January. This will also be Australia’s last Test assignment before the defending champions take on South Africa on the final of the World Test Championship at Lords from June 11 to 15.
