On Monday, September 2, Bangladesh found themselves just 143 runs away with 10 wickets in hand in the second innings, to win the second Test match and series 2-0 against hosts Pakistan. At the close of play on day four at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which ended abruptly due to bad light, Bangladesh were 42/0 with their openers Shadman Islam and Zakir getting off to a brilliant start in pursuit of 185-run target. Notably, during the second session on day four, Bangladesh bundled out Pakistan for just 172 runs in their second innings after their pacers Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana shared nine wickets amongst themselves.

Usman Khawaja and Pat Cummins answer tricky adult questions in lie detector test; reactions go viral

Usman Khawaja and Pat Cummins along with other members of the Australian cricket team were asked tricky questions in a lie detector test during 'Fletch and Hindy' show on the Fox Network. The Australian cricketing stars answered some personal questions and were given a shock by the lie detector machine for every wrong answer. In a lie detector test, the host first answered some basic questions like "What's your name, and how do you pronounce it?" After that, the test became interesting when Usman Khawaja and Pat Cummins had to answer if they had ever watched an adult video on Virtual Reality (VR). Firstly, the Aussie opener was asked, “Have you ever watched porn through VR (Virtual Reality)?" to which he immediately denied with a "no".

England’s stand-in captain Ollie Pope responded to Michael Vaughan’s remarks and opened up on his poor form. Pope, who replaced Ben Stokes as captain of the side in the ongoing Test series  against Sri Lanka, has found himself on the radar of several fans and experts for his batting as well as captaincy. Notably, under his captaincy, England beat Sri Lanka by a margin of 190 runs in the second Test; however, despite that, Pope has been subject to severe criticism. Former English skipper Michael Vaughan labelled Pope as “an insecure human being” and said that he is “not the kind of personality” that should be named as England’s captain. Pope responded to the criticising remarks by former England great and said that it is important for him to only keep putting in his work and not overthink.

Singh, who has been very outspoken and has always blamed former India captain and one of the greats of the game, MS Dhoni for bringing an end to Yuvraj Singh career, once again accused the 43-year. Yograj Singh didn’t hold back his comments against the 1983 World Cup winner and even revealed the strained relationships with him.

Former Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam once again failed to prove himself as he got dismissed cheaply for 11 runs in the second Test against Bangladesh. This proved to be the fourth consecutive failure for Pakistan’s batting stalwart in the ongoing Test series against their South Asian counterparts. In the previous three innings in the series, Azam managed to score only 0, 22 and 31 runs. Not only this, but Azam’s last Test fifty came 16 innings ago. 

Gautam Gambhir picks his India all-time XI; Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah excluded

Former India cricketer and the current head coach of the Indian cricket team, Gautam Gambhir recently named his India all-time XI. Surprisingly, he included himself, along with the likes of ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar, ‘The Wall’ Rahul Dravid, he also named three-time ICC trophy winning captain, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli in his side. Speaking on Sportskeeda’s YouTube channel, Gambhir listed himself as an opener alongside Virender Sehwag and dropped Sachin to number four position in his all-time India XI. Furthermore, Rahul Dravid found No. 3 place, and Virat Kohli got No. 5 spot. His side also had former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh at No. 6 while MS Dhoni, who has played a role of key finisher got the seventh place.

The 33-year-old is still a whopping 3544 runs behind Sachin Tendulkar’s tally, but his incredible form in the last few years in Tests make him a contender to get past the Indian legend. In a video posted on the official X account of England Cricket, Joe Root addressed the speculation surrounding him getting past Sachin Tendulkar in a calm and composed manner. He said, “I just want to play, and try, and do my bit for the team and score the runs as many as I can and see where we get to. But there’s no better feeling I mean, it’s amazing when you score 100, you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t, a big part of why you started playing the game and what you love about it.”

Sunil Gavaskar predicts 3-1 win for India over Australia in Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series

Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar has made his prediction for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Test series between Australia and India, starting on November 22. The 75-year-old remarked that India will once again get the better of Australia down under, and this time, they are going to secure a 3-1 win in the five-match Test series. Notably, India are set to take on Australia in a five-match Test series for the first-time in more than 30 years after these two teams have battled in Test series with a maximum of four matches in recent years. The Indian cricket team have defeated Australia in each of the last four-match Test series with a 2-1 margin, twice at home and twice away, which will give them the confidence to prevail once again down under.
