The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 has reached its semi-final stage with South Africa, Afghanistan, India, and England being the four teams to clinch the top two positions in their respective Super 8s groups. While South Africa dominated Afghanistan to reach the T20 WC'24 final, India and England will square off on Thursday.

In the first semi-final of the ICC Men's T20 Word Cup 2024, South Africa dominated Afghanistan to qualify for the final in the competition for the first time. Afghanistan decided to bat first after winning the toss at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, however, the decision proved to be a disaster as South Africa bowled them out on 56 runs in 12 overs with Marco Jansen and Tabraiz Shamsi picking up three wickets each while Rabada and Nortje got two wickets each. South Africa comfortably chased down the target in 9 overs at a loss of one wicket.

Leicestershire batter Louis Kimber hit England bowler Ollie Robinson for 43 runs in a record over during a county game. On Wednesday, June 26 (IST), Sussex clashed against Leicestershire in a County Championship Division Two match. With Kimber hitting 43 runs, Robinson recorded the most expensive over in the history of the County Championship.  The Sussex bowler was hit for five sixes, three of which came off no balls, three fours, and one single on the fourth day of the match.

Shivam Dube replaces Nitish Reddy in India's squad for Zimbabwe series

The Men’s Selection Committee named Shivam Dube as a replacement for the injured Nitish Reddy in India’s squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. Dube is currently part of the Indian team which will take on England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024.  The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Nitish Reddy’s progress.  India will play Zimbabwe in the five-match T20I series in Harare, starting from July 06, 2024.

Former India cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar took a dig at Ravindra Jadeja for his below-par performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. Manjrekar said that the other two spinners in the team, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, can offer more than ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. In the competition, he conceded 17 runs without any success. In the season, the spinner has 16 runs from 11 balls in three innings in six matches. With the ball, he picked one wicket in 10 overs conceding 78 runs with an economy of 7.80.
