The ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 hosts India will commence their campaign on Sunday as they are scheduled to face Australia in their opener at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Apart from the World Cup action, Team India won the Men's Cricket gold at the Asian Games 2023.

  • ICC ODI World Cup 2023 - India vs Australia: The highly anticipated clash between hosts India and Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 will take place in Chennai at 02:00 p.m. IST on Sunday. Both teams face each other before heading to the quadrennial showpiece as India won the three-match ODI series 2-1, however, the Men in Blue could miss the services of in-form Shubman Gill.
  • South Africa Women vs New Zealand Women 2nd T20I: After the first T20I between these two sides was washed out due to rain, South Africa Women are scheduled to host New Zealand Women at  Buffalo Park, East London on Sunday at 05:30 p.m. IST.

ICC MEN'S ODI WORLD CUP 2023

South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 102 runs: For the first time in the Cricket World Cup history, three batsmen from one team have scored centuries in an inning as Quinton de Kock (100), Rassie van der Dussen (108), and Aiden Markram (106) helped the Proteas to put a mammoth total of 428 runs. While chasing the target the Sri Lankans fell short of 102 runs before their rivals bundled them out at 326 in 45 overs.

Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets: Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat first. The spin duo of the captain Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz got three wickets each as Afghanistan were bundled at 156 runs in 37.2 overs. Bangladesh chased the target comfortably to win the game by six wickets with 92 balls remaining.

Women's Cricket: Australia beat West Indies by 8 wickets with 211 balls remaining

After winning the three-match T20I series 2-1, Australia kicked off the three-match ODI series against West Indies with a dominant victory. The Aussies restricted Hayley Matthews-less Windies to 83 runs in just 27.3 overs as Kim Garth picked three wickets while  Ashleigh Gardner and  Georgia Wareham took two wickets each. Australia achieved the target in 15 overs with a loss of two wickets to win the game.
