Jake Fraser-McGurk, who played a match-defining innings of 84 off 27, set up the victory for Delhi Capitals, and vital contributions from the likes of Abishek Porel, Shai Hope, Tristan Stubbs, and the captain Rishabh Pant, propelling the Delhi Capitals total to 257/4. In their pursuit of the 258-run target, Mumbai Indians lost the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav inside the powerplay. Despite Hardik Pandya (46 off 24), Tilak Varma (63 off 32), and Tim David's fight, MI lost the match by 10 runs.

Samson's flawless 71 helps Rajasthan demolish Lucknow by seven wickets

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals nearly sealed playoff qualification after defeating the Lucknow Super Giants by seven wickets. With this victory, the Royals have now consolidated their spot at the top of the table with 16 points from nine games. On the other hand, the Super Giants are still in the fourth spot on the table with five wins from nine games. On the last ball of the 19th over,  Samson finished off the game with his fourth six as he remained not out at 71 from 33 balls at a strike rate of 215.

Ishan Kishan fined for breaching IPL Code of Conduct in match vs DC

Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was fined 10 per cent of his match fee on Saturday, April 27 after match against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.  Kishan, who was seen hitting or kicking cricket equipment or clothing, and ground equipment during the clash, was found guilty under IPL’s Level 1 offence.  “Kishan committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction,” the IPL statement read. 

Tim David’s massive six leaves fan injured in DC vs MI IPL 2024

Tim David’s massive six  in the clash against Delhi Capitals hit a fan in the face and left him injured. In the fifth delivery of the 14th over, bowled by Khaleel Ahmed, David executed a powerful six that hit one of the spectators in the face. However, the security immediately gave him medical attention, and the injury didn’t turn out to be serious.

Punjab Kings all-rounder Sikandar Raza left the Indian Premier League 2024 midway to join his national side, Zimbabwe, for the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
