The prize fund for Women’s FA Cup to get doubled to £6m

The Football Association (FA) has announced that the prize fund for the Women’s FA Cup will be doubled to a total of £6m, with the winners set to receive £430,000, compared to the Men’s FA Cup winner receiving £2m currently. Ferrari launched new suits for Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023. The Formula 1 team has gone all red and white for their latest suits, which feature a team badge on the front. India’s 18-year-old archer Parneet Kauar defeated Jyothi Surekha Vennam to win the gold medal in the women’s compound individual event at the Asian Archery Championships 2023. Parneet secured a win over Vennam 9-8 in the shoot-off after both the archers were tied at 145 at the end of five sets. However, the trio of Parneet, Jyothi and Aditi clinched the gold medal in the women’s compound team event with a 234-233 win over Chinese Taipei’s Wang Lu-Yun, Chen Yi Hsuan, Huang I-Jou in the final.

Karnataka HC directs Badminton Association of India to frame guidelines to sanction tournaments

The Karnataka High Court directed the Badminton Association of India (BAI) to construct a framework for acceptance of sanctioning tournaments. Justice R. Devdas disposed of petitions filed by Bitsport Pvt. Ltd., the promoter of the Grand Prix Badminton League, and a few badminton coaches and umpires. The petitioners had questioned the action of the BAI in refusing to allow the league and warning the players and coaches.
