LeBron James reacts on Giannis Antetokounmpo's ejection against Pistons

Basketball legend LeBron James joined the list of many who were left disappointed with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s controversial ejection. Antetokounmpo missed most of the third and fourth quarter after being ejected in a controversial taunting foul in the game against the Detroit Pistons. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar was ejected after receiving his second technical foul. 

The 38-year-old took to Twitter and posted a face palm emoji, reacting to the video. Antetokounmpo played for a total of 22 minutes, where he finished with just 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks on 37.5% shooting.

"We focus on the fact that we are the best on the entire planet and we have to fight among ourselves to get this mega trophy, which means a lot and is a gigantic prize for any tennis player. Honestly, I would consider the ATP Finals as something bigger than a Grand Slam," he added.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is set to make her tennis return at the Brisbane International warm-up tournament, ahead of the Australia Open. Osaka said in a statement, “I am really excited about getting back out on court and competing. I always love starting my season in Brisbane and can’t wait to return. It will set me up for a brilliant comeback this summer.”

Iga Swiatek continues to be so impressive: Chanda Rubin

World number 1 tennis star gained praised from former player and broadcaster Chanda Rubin for her spectacular title run at the 2023 WTA Finals. Rubin was on the InsideIn podcast, where she said, "To work your way into it, to start playing better tennis and to go through that event playing better and better each match, through the conditions that players had to deal with."

Rubin added, "At times it seemed impossible to control this little yellow tennis ball and yet Swiatek kept pushing and playing her game. I think for me, that was the most impressive part of it. She did get better each and every match."

Boris Becker praised Polish tennis star Iga Swiatek for calling out the WTA for the intense WTA schedule in 2024. Becker posted on his Instagram story, "Good/strong words from the champion!" Swiatek had said in her one of the press conferences," Everything has already been decided without consulting us, and now we are looking for a solution how we can reach a compromise. It would be nice if the WTA shared its plans with us before making decisions. It’s supposed to be an organisation of women’s players, but we have nothing to say. It took us some time to gather into one group and take joint action."

Indian football coach Igor Stimac said that the team is ready to take on Kuwait and Qatar in the World Cup qualifiers match. Stimac said, "We need to be on a very different side playing at home. That doesn’t mean that we’re going to go up there high and try to surprise Qatar and keep them under high pressure for 90 minutes because we have problems which I spoke about earlier. But we’re going to find a way to hurt them. There might be a chance for us to surprise them."

Luis Diaz's father gets released after two weeks of kidnapping

Footballer Luis Diaz's father got released after two weeks of being a hostage with National Liberation Army (ELN). According to Blu Records, Diaz's father is currently in the hands of a humanitarian commission made up of the United Nations and the Catholic Church. The Episcopal Conference of Colombia posted an image of Luis Manuel after his release on social media, and said, "We thank God for the release of Mr. Luis Diaz! With him are already Mons. Francisco Ceballos, bishop of Riohacha and Mons. Hector Henao, delegate for Church-State relations, who formed the humanitarian commission in charge of facilitating his release."
