MS Dhoni is one of the finest cricketers, along with Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Virat Kohli, etc. that India has ever produced, helping the side to three ICC titles under his leadership. Not only this, under his leader in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has won record five titles, equalling Rohit Sharma.
Often reckoned as “Captain Cool” among his team, the skipper has left his coolness at times. His former teammate, Australian great Matthew Hayden was asked on “What irritates MS Dhoni?” The Australian World Cup winner while speaking to ESPNcricinfo said, “MS Dhoni is pretty unflappable it must be said but if you really wanna give him the shivers. Just have a slack fielding effort. Don’t contribute in the field and that’s one of the few times you would look at him and go ‘ooh that’s not gonna be good’”.
Further on while being asked about who would win a 100-metre race between MS Dhoni and Mike Hussey, Hayden went with his former Aussie teammate. He also Harbhajan Singh as the most entertaining sledger he has played with or against. “I always loved the battle with Harbhajan Singh, he was a beauty,” Hayden quoted.
Notably, Matthew Hayden made his IPL debut for CSK against Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab) at the IS Bindra Stadium in 2008. However, his last appearance in the cash rich league for CSK came in 2010 against Mumbai Indians.
