After losing their first home Test to New Zealand since 1986, India are once again set to lock horns with their Kiwi counterparts in the second Test of the series. The clash is set to begin on October 24 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Pune. In the first rain-affected game in Kanpur, India came up with a below-par performance and lost the game by eight wickets. The Kiwis recorded their first Test win on Indian soil gaining an early 1-0 lead in the series.

The Rohit Sharma-led squad will aim to make a stronger comeback and keep their hopes floating for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 Final. To improve their chances, the hosts need to win at least one of their upcoming seven Test matches in the cycle. With the second Test beginning on Thursday, let’s have a look at the weather report for the next few days in Pune.
