After Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf’s video of an ugly fight with fans went viral post Men in Green’s early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024, the 29-year-old took to X to break silence on the confrontation. However, the conversation of Rauf with the fans wasn’t clear, but the cricketer reportedly threatened to beat up an abusive fan who had asked for a picture.
Rauf, who was along with his wife, was even stopped to engage in the brawl but could not resist and walked up to the fans. After the video spread like a wildfire, Rauf issued a clarification on the matter. “I decided to not bring this to social media, but now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation,” Haris Rauf said in a post on X.
“As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parents and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions,” he further added.
