The full schedule of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday, February 16, wherein the opening match is slated to happen between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), at the Eden Gardens on Saturday, March 22. In the IPL 2025, 10 teams from different cities will lock horns to get their hands on the coveted title in the grand finale, which will be played on Sunday, May 25, at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
A total 74 matches will be played throughout the season including 70 matches in the league stage. The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs stage of the tournament, wherein the Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21 respectively, while the Qualifier 2 is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 23, followed by the final two days later.

Eden Gardens, Kolkata - The home of the defending Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is set to host nine matches in the IPL 2025, including the opening match, Qualifier 2, and the grand final of the upcoming season of the tournament.

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad - Runners-up of the Iast IPL season, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be playing their seven home matches at their home stadium, while this venue will also be hosting the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator during the playoffs stage.

Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow - Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), one of the newest franchises in the IPL will be playing all their seven matches at a venue, which is known for its indifferent pitch conditions, making it difficult for the hosts to sometime assess what’s going to happen next in a particular match.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur - Rajasthan Royals (RR) have a very good home record in the IPL, which has been built in the heart of Jaipur over the past 17 years, although this season, they will be playing only five matches at their first home, while their other two home matches will be in Guwahati.
