Just days after AS Roma sacked Jose Mourinho from the managerial role in Italy, reports have emerged about which will be the next destination for the Portuguese footballing icon. As per the latest, Jose Mourinho is reportedly in talks with Al-Shabab, the Saudi Pro League club, to take over as their head coach.
The sources have told Julien Laurens, one of the most esteemed journalists, about how Jose Mourinho is talking with Al-Shabab about potentially joining them. Moreover, he has also received interest from some clubs in Europe for a managerial role, which could make him opt against a move to Saudi Arabia.

Notably, the sacking of Jose Mourinho at AS Roma happened on Tuesday, January 16, following a string of bad results that saw them exit from the Coppa Italia against their city rivals Lazio after a defeat by 1-0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The final match for the 60-year-old while managing AS Roma happened at the San Siro where AC Milan defeated them by 3-1 in Serie A.
During his illustrious run with AS Roma, which began in the 2021-22 season, Jose Mourinho brought European silverware to the Italian club, breaking their long-standing trophy drought. AS Roma defeated Feyenoord by 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
In the next season, he took the Italian club to the UEFA Europa League final in the 2022-23 season, which they lost to Sevilla on penalties by 4-2 after extra time scoreline read 1-1. But after a difficult start to the ongoing 2023-24 season, both on and off the pitch, AS Roma sacked Jose Mourinho, and replaced him with Daniele De Rossi.
