Ahead of joining his national side for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal forward Sadio Mane has recently tied the knot with his long-time partner Aisha Tamba. The 31-year-old Al-Nassr forward married the 18-year-old Tamba after two years of dating in an Islamic marriage ceremony in the capital city of Dakar.
According to Pulse, the Teranga Lions forward introduced his lover and now wife to the world in an Islamic marriage ceremony on Sunday, January 7. Tamba was born in Casamance, a town bordering Bambali, the village where her husband hails from. According to the Senegalese news outlet, Sene News, Aisha is 18 years old and speaks the native Mandingo language, the same as Mane.
Sadio Mane took to his official X handle and shared the pictures from his wedding. Apart from him, Senegalese wedding photographer and videographer Mouhamed Niang took to his Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures and videos of Sadio Mane and Aisha Tamba's beautiful wedding ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was reportedly attended by the couple's friends, family, and former players, as well as the players from Senegal's national team. Ahead of his marriage, the former Liverpool forward unveiled the newly built football stadium in his native village of Bambali during his recent visit to the country in the build-up of their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) title defence. The 31-year-old, who financed the construction of Stade de Bambali, was among the prominent Senegalese figures to attend its grand opening ceremony.
Sadio Mane and Senegal will begin their 2023 AFCON campaign against Gambia on Monday, January 15, 2024. Senegal and Gambia are placed in Group C alongside Cameroon and Guinea.
