Young fast bowler Prince Yadav made headlines after he dismissed dangerous looking Travis Head in the ongoing IPL 2025 fixture between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Notably, Head, who smashed a fiery half-century in the previous game against Rajasthan Royals was also looking in great touch against LSG and was nearing his second fifty of the season.

However, Travis Head couldn’t spend much time at the crease as Prince Yadav cleared his stumps in the eight over of the innings. The SRH opener got out after scoring 47 runs off 28 balls. It turned out to be a big wicket as SRH went on to lose regular wickets after that. Prince took a wicket of a dangerous SRH batter. Apart from that, he also came up with a perfect throw while fielding to run Heinrich Klaasen out who was batting on 26(17) runs.

Who is Prince Yadav?

23-year-old Prince Yadav earned the limelight for his performance in last year’s Delhi Premier League. Playing for Rishabh Pant’s Purani Dilli, Prince took 13 wickets in 10 matches which also helped to get a chance in Delhi’s domestic team.

Prince Yadav ended up taking two wickets in his T20 debut for Delhi in the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The very next day, he got his maiden IPL contract as LSG roped him in for INR 30 Lakhs in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Prince made his debut for LSG in the last game against Delhi Capitals, where he went wicketless and conceded 47 runs in four overs. In the next game, Prince finally got his first IPL wicket in the form of Travis Head. He registered the figures of 1/29 in four overs against SRH.
