Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Chennai Super Kings star, is all set to tie the knot with his fiance Utkarsha Pawar on June 3. He informed the BCCI about his marriage and was replaced by Yashasvi Jaiswal in the Indian reserves list for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final, set to be played at The Oval in London against Australia from June 7 onwards.
Recently, the picture of Gaikwad and Pawar has gone viral on social media, in which the couple were sitting beside MS Dhoni, who led CSK to their fifth IPL title after defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in a last-over thriller. She was also seen celebrating the glorious win with her fiance at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad after the match finished.
Notably, Utkarsha Pawar is a professional cricketer who plays at the senior level for Maharashtra women’s team. The 24-year-old has picked up five wickets in her 10 matches, while scoring 41 runs at an average of 20.5, in the Women’s Senior One-Day Trophy for her state last season. As per reports, Pawar started playing cricket at the age of 11. She is currently studying at the Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences (INFS) in Pune.
