The 50-over Cricket World Cup 2023 is underway in the Indian subcontinent and the event is under the scanners for several different reasons. While one of them being the outfield of Dharamsala which has got a lot of criticism and several others including the ticketing saga.  

In latest turn of events, Pakistan sports presenter and commentator Zainab Abbas has been under the limelight after she left the Indian subcontinent on Monday, October 9. The Pakistani national who has been in new lately after some of her old tweets against India and Hindu religion went viral on social media amid her stint in the ongoing CWC 2023.

However, according to a spokesperson of the International Cricket Council (ICC), The presenter departed India for “personal reasons.” The spokesperson further added that she was not deported, meanwhile the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) remains tight-lipped from commenting on the matter.

Additionally, a complaint has reportedly been filed by an Indian lawyer Vineet Jindal over her old comments against the country and the religious comments. The lawyer has alleged that the tweets were posted on X with a username Zainablovesrk, which now reads ZAbbas Official.
