West Indies defeated India in 5th T20I by 8 wickets and thereby also won the five-match T20I series by 3-2 margin with the help of brilliant batting performance from Brandon King, who went onto smash unbeaten 85 and was well supported by Nicholas Pooran at the other end. Indian bowlers like Chahal, and Hardik Pandya proved to be too expensive for the Men in Blue in the final ODI.

Initially, India winning the toss, opted to bat first and posted a total of 165/9 with the help of brilliant fifty from Suryakumar Yadav when no other batter stepped up for their side. Romario Shepherd was the star bowler for West Indies as he ended up picking four wickets in the first innings. Pooran won Player of the Series award for being the leading run-scorer in this five-match series.
