Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti shared the fitness update of Jude Bellingham, and also revealed whether the footballer will be available for the upcoming match for the club. Bellingham, the 21-year-old England international, suffered a neck injury in Madrid’s recent clash with Getafe. The game saw the Los Blancos take down their counterparts 2-0, and during the game, Bellingham scored a goal and notched an assist. However, with 45 minutes into the game, Bellingham was taken off the field, and it was revealed that the footballer was bothered by a neck issue.

After the match, it was revealed that the youngster sustained a neck blockage, which occurred during a collision with David Soria. While uncertainty loomed over his participation in the forthcoming match against Athletic Club, Madrid boss Ancelotti shared an update on his injury. He confirmed that the injury is not serious and is not likely to affect his availability for the upcoming game at San Mames on Wednesday. “Bellingham had a neck problem, he had it blocked and couldn’t continue. It’s a minor problem and I think he’ll recover in two days,” Mundo Deportivo quoted the manager as saying.

Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe shine as Real Madrid defeat Getafe 2-0

Earlier in the clash against Getafe, Real Madrid recorded a convincing 2-0 win at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. The game saw Jude Bellingham scoring a goal by successfully converting the penalty. On the other hand, Kylian Mbappe further solidified Madrid’s lead by scoring another goal before the half-time break. With this, the winners climbed to second spot in the table with 33 points from 14 matches, and are just one point behind Barcelona. On the other hand, Getafe are currently positioned at the 17th spot with 13 points from 15 matches.

The game saw Real being awarded with a penalty in the 30th minute. The Englishman stepped up and took the penalty instead of Mbappe, and made no mistakes while knocking the ball straight into the goal by beating goalie David Soria. The midfielder has now scored goals in three straight league matches. Mbappe further doubled their lead in the 38th minute as he took a ball from Bellingham and netted it to score his 10th goal of the season across all tournaments for his new side.
